Latvia is located in the heart of the Baltic States, bordered by the Baltic Sea to the west and covered in vast forests, lakes, and rivers. Latvia’s countryside features unspoiled beaches, charming towns like Cēsis and Kuldīga, and extensive national parks such as Gauja National Park.
WEATHER
Latvia has a temperate climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Summer temperatures range from 18–25°C (64–77°F), ideal for enjoying the country’s beaches and festivals. Winter temperatures often dip below freezing, creating beautiful snowy landscapes perfect for winter sports and Christmas markets.
CULTURE
Latvian culture is a unique blend of Baltic heritage and European influences. Traditional music, folk dancing, and handcrafts are actively preserved, especially during festivals like the Summer Solstice (Jāņi). Latvia is also known for its vibrant classical and contemporary music scene, with numerous concerts and opera performances held throughout the year.
